Follow up to my personal best thread (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1543)

I filled up this morning with the SG showing 50.2MPG tank average, and my manual calculation yielded 48.534MPG (524.6 miles / 10.809 gallons).

I always adjust the gallons added at each fillup (usually differs by a few % points +/-), but I've never adjusted the MPH reading to ensure it's tracking with my speedo. Not a huge deal, but it stinks that my 55.4MPG display wasn't truly 55.4MPG :o

haha ya the speedo thing is really messed. put it at 1% it under reads... put it at 2% it overreads.... wtf why not a 1.5%?

garbage... so i rather put it at 1% where it underreads my speeds... so when i do calculate its better than what scangauge says :D

even with you... pretty tough to break the 600 mile barrier eh? I dream of seeing 4 digits on my speedo!!! My time will come!

hm my ssg is reading 628 km at 1% while my civic odometer reads 629.1 km.... not bad! I guess those fill ups really calibrated the scangauge!

My car is the same way. The speedo is off by at least 3mph above 60mph, but the odometer is dead-on with the Google Earth route measurements that I've done.
