How do you keep the SG-II from turning off when you FAS at a stop light? I put mine in hybrid mode, but it seems to turn off still after I shut off the engine and put it back to on.

Check to make sure you saved it in hybrid mode. Are you turning the key all the way or just to accessory?

I have had several times when I shut down for a fas and turn back to position 2 and the engine fires (I came back on too fast), then immediately shut down again to get into fas and when I go back to position 2 the sg appears to be off. What I found was if that happens I hit the button with the red circle and the guage displays immediately where I left off, making me think the display was all that shut off while it actually was still getting info from the car.

Make sure you key back on right away, if you wait too many seconds it goes to sleep. it is really not shut off, as jim said just hit the button and you will get your displays and your current trip won't be interrupted.
