No matter the event affecting gasoline production (+/-) , diesel has remained 1.2 x more costly. I have not seen it vary from this relationship once in 18 months of checking.

I don't want to get into retail pricing practices, but have you seen the same fixed differential in your area?

Diesel in Ireland is 1.03 to 1.06 times more expensive. Back in june this year it was 1.08 times more expensive. It certainly looks like the price of gasoline is catching up with diesel.

Gasoline spiked 45¢/gal after Ike but diesel didn't seem to move at all. Before Ike, diesel in Winnipeg was 0.87x the price of regular unleaded. Right now it's 0.8x the price of RUG.

Around here in central Indiana the price of gas PASSED the cost of diesel due to Ike. Per gallon gas shot up over $4 while diesel dropped to just under $4......gas is now down to @ $3.91, but I have not checked out diesel lately.
