I just spotted a 2009 Yaris 4 door hatch (5 door) on the street's of Dallas. Does anyone know if the 4 door hatch is currently available on dealer lots?

The 09 Yaris now shows up on the toyota.com as a selection in the SE. There are 2 liftbacks scheduled to be availabe on 9/30/08. It doesn't say whether it's a 3 or 5-door.
Looks sharper than the 2 door.

You can now "build your [2009] yaris" on Toyota.com. Unfortunately it confirms that the 5-door is only available with an automatic. But you can drop $17700 on a 5-door sport with an enormous spoiler! Lame.
To get a 5 speed 3-door, you're also limited to either white or gray paint; choose an auto 3-door or 5-door, and you can choose from 7 paint colors. Looks like Toyota is out to gouge. The sedan has plenty of options regardless of transmission, but the $1600 premium over hatch may explain that.
I really like the 5-door overall, but without a 5-spd, I'll happily continue to roll in my xB! Which cost less than almost all Yarii you're likely to find on a lot.
I've yet to see one, and a friend's g/f said the dealer has been saying "2 more weeks" for some time.. she is taking delivery on a 2008 sedan today since its taking so long on the 5 door and she really needs a new car

Toyota's website is dreadful.
Apparently you can't get a 5-door with a manual transmission. Ugh.

Did you check the license plate? Cause it could have been one from Mexico. Though I'm not too familiar with what Toyota sells in Mexico. I know VW sells some smaller cars there than they do here.
I wonder how hard it would be to buy a new car in Mexico and import it here? I mean for a model that isn't sold here.

Go past the intro and then click on the hatchback. I notice in the bottom left one of them says "Yaris H/B 5DR MT Core for $146,000" And another says "Yaris H/B 5DR MT Premium for $158,300", which looks like $10,408 and $11,285 USD respectively.

Drive one first.
I rented a Yaris this past week and it is built and feels like a little Camry, which is good and ok. Good build, but wallowy, comfort suspension. The center dash speedometer and trans (auto) stick are very irritating.
