I was looking for a grill block that would be cheap, look good, be easy to install, easily removable and improve the aerodynamics of the front. So I decided to use clear adhesive backed contact paper like is used for kitchen shelves. I started with the lower grill a few weeks ago and since it has cooled down considerably here now, added the upper grill a few days ago. When it gets even cooler I plan to cover the area below the license plate.
The plastic has withstood several rains so it seems to be waterproof. I have yet to see if it will hold up to the car wash. I will have to wait to see how durable it really is.
This should work on most vehicles. And I would think by making some cuts it could follow the contours of the front of most cars.
