I seem to have plateaued. Though I've hit an all-time high on the display for mpg at 55.2mpg, my calculated is still 57.3 for the tank. :D Unless I can figure out some better way of climbing the hills around here, I guess this will be the top end for my usual commute. I'll keep trying though! Who knows, maybe some moment of zen will strike and I'll achieve mpg enlightenment?
On a side note, we have 10% ethanol gas in my home county which costs up to $0.20 more than our neighboring county to the West (you know, the one with the power plants, NYS Thruway, etc.) Because of our air quality (drifting from the West) we have to use the more costly blend. Since they are bordered by the Catskills, their air is cleaner, so they get cheaper straight gas. The point of this is that I tanked up over there today (I happened to be there to see a client), so it'll be interesting to see what impact that will have on this new tank's mpg.
Time to find a different kind of zen moment...:Banane39:
