Sweet. Just saw this on AutoBlog myself, it's also up on Honda's site.
Starting at $18,500. That's what I just paid for my 4 year old Prius, lol.
Although I doubt the base Insight will be equipped even close to my Prius. ;)
I may have to swap out my old Insight for... the new one. :)

its five-door access and folding rear seats speak to functionality that is designed to meet the needs of customers with an active lifestyle.
That was my biggest beef with the Civic hybrid. I USE that functionality all the time. Hauling 2x4's in a Civic? Yep. :D

This would make a nice replacement for the Elantra if mileage potential is high enough...

andrew, i do that in my HCH, as long as they aren't much longer than 8 ft. i just lay the passengers seat flat and angle them across into the back corner behind the driver's seat. ok, it's not perfect, but i can get them home ok.

huh. never tried that way. Ok, just for the fun of it: I've slept in mine, across the folded-down rear seats, with my feet in the trunk. ;)
But this car is cool. I wonder how much will change for production. I'm guessing mirrors and wheels at least.
