The Lewisville Animal Shelter is on a dead-end remote road. As I was passing to check it out for a hypermiling run, I hit a young jackrabbit. :( Brought it home and it just looks like a close call. The right hind leg is skinned and got the Bactine treatment. Going to get some rabbit food tonight. After a stay in the cat carrier, I'll go back to the place I hit him and release him.

It seemed like it was going to be bouncing off the walls by next morning, but apparently internal injuries overcame it. One of it's hind legs were broken, so it was a long shot.

Had it survived, I'd probably name it TDI. :D

hm your car was probably silient, i guess the rabbit thought it was okay but was wrong!

Wow at least i know now rabbits have strong will, down till the last ounce of strength.

You did the best you could. Most would have just left the poor thing on the road to be hit again or eaten or whatever.
