Hey Everyone!
I recently purchased a ScanGuage for my Saturn SL2 (Automatic.) Since I've started hypermiling, my tank averages have been 29.6, 28.19, 32.36, 34.93, and 34.09mpg respectively. Before hypermiling, I consistently averaged about 24mpg. I am still on the first tank with the Scanguage, but I'm getting impatient waiting for the results! Does anyone else have experience with the SL2 auto? What has your economy been? I have used many hypermiling methods so far such as timing lights, FAS, Potential Parking, DWB, NICE coasting, and I usually push my car in and out of driveways and parking spots with the tranny in nuetral. I always sweat while driving (No A/C.) I run my tires at the max sidewall (41psi.) What MPGs have been historically possible from this type of car?? Fueleconomy.gov rates this car at 26mpg combined (32 Highway) in the new ratings and 29mpg combined (36 Highway) based on the original ratings. Thanks in advance!!!
