I'm on a 2006 Buell Ulysses. I'm riding instead of driving in order to save gas. EPA estimates put my bike over 60mpg on the highway. We'll see what she can get with saddlebags and a dufflebag strapped on her for that kind of distance.
I rode from Indianapolis to Washington, D.C., earlier this summer. The mileage wasn't as good, but I think that's because I got a bit "playful" in the mountains. I'm going to really try to keep the closed-loop fuel mapping as lean as possible by using gentle throttle input as much as I can.
