2007 Honda Civic iCDTi Turbo Diesel.

Every Labor Day since the year 2000, a large group of VW Diesel owners and enthusiasts have gathered for what is easily the largest diesel automobile gathering on the North American Continent. Previous events have been held in locations across the US and Canada including Montréal, Philadelphia, Lake Mills, WI, Boston, Toronto, Grand Rapids, MI, Park City, UT and the first held in Wilmington, NC.

This years TDIFest will be held just outside Cincinnati, OH in Mason on August 29th through 31st.

The current event schedule includes the ever popular meet and greet between older and newer members of the TDI forums plus tech speaker and breakout sessions. In addition, a road rally and fuel economy run, the car show with multiple class awards plus the the ever popular closing Awards banquet.

Besides discussion on the upcoming 09 Jetta TDI’s, expect more information on biofuels, performance and handling improvement HW and of course increasing fuel economy from past, present and future diesel powered automobiles.

This year, CleanMPG will participate by driving in and placing on display the Honeywell sponsored and sourced European Honda Civic iCDTi. Nissan may be bringing in their 3.0L TDI up from AZ as well.

As with any Nationwide gathering, always expect an additional surprise or two plus the expected great time while meeting new friends and old ones.

Hi Eric:

___Sure can! If you can get here on Thursday evening, I will put you up for the night. We will be leaving on early Friday morning to pick up the iCDTi in Birmingham, MI by early afternoon. From there, we press up the tires, top off the tank and head to Jud's. From there, to TDIFest.

___Good Luck

O.k. I checked out their registration page for costs etc.

I'm thinking that you guys already paid as a vendor, so I wouldn't have to pay the additional $40 vendor fee right? (Says vendors must pay the $50 registration fee PLUS and additional $40)

From the site it looks like I would need to pay:
$50 to register.
$40 for Saturday dinner
$10 for Breakfast
Total for one person: $100

Did you guys pay/are you guys going to do either of the meals?
Also did you guys sign up for all the individual events when you registered? (show and shine, movies, etc)
I'm trying to decide what options I should choose.

Hi Eric:

___If the iCDTi comes through as currently offered, I will be as a presenter and I expect no $'s OOP from my end. Other than fuel and food of course. There is a little hiccup with the iCDTi’s availability as of this morning but hopefully that will be worked out before the week is out.

___Good Luck

I paid the $50 for the basic registration. I am planning on not going to the breakfast or dinner.

Got it. That'll help lower the cost a bit.

Turns out I have family obligations that will run contrary to this event.
As much as I want to go, looks like it's officially off the books for me for 2008. :(

I'll probably be able to make the event. I'd love to give the Honda a spin especially after finally having a chance to drive the Jetta TDI last weekend :)
