The high in Memphis yesterday was 100. On my way home from work, my MPG was in the mid to upper 30's. My LOV FE is around 44-45, with just over 2k on the car. This heat is KILLING my FE. With temps running that high, A/C is a must. Plus, I carpool, so I don't want to kill the guy that rides with me. :) By contrast, my best trip home was 51 MPG in significantly cooler temps. My kingdom for a cold front!!!!!

It's already 100F at noontime in Dallas. :(
Read about my A/C problems at home - it's not just my car.
Praying my home A/C will last the summer.

It's hot virtually nationwide. :(
It's expected to get to 105F for the second day in Dallas.
Fortunately, the home A/C repair seems to be working, but it's so hot if was still 100F at 9pm.
Global warming skeptics, I think something may be going on....

Supposed to be 101F here today...I did get 47.5 MPG today on my trip to the Dr's office and then to work (about 40-45 miles all told). But I'll bet I don't get anywhere close to that on the way home today.
Hi All:
___We had a small reprieve for 2 days here in the Chicago area from that blasted high 90’s stuff but we are heading right back up into the low 90’s again today. Another break is supposed to arrive tonight with storms and again by tomorrow night through possibly the weekend. HF 2006 up in Madison, WI. should be relatively pleasant for those coming up from the south anyway? You guys on the East coast as well as the South are enduring some horrible temps right now :(
___Good Luck

Same WX conditions here in the NE, high 90's and very humid. My current mpg is 50.4 using the A/C, was 51.8 before A/C. I'm very pleased considering the good FE combined with A/C usage. Trying my best to incorporate all of the hypermiling techniques with exception of FAS (only do this at red lights when I get faked out). :)
