Delta
Who knows. The OKC Tralblazer plant shut down last week or was it the week before in OKC. Very bad quality has been its hallmark. Glad it gone. GM has sold junk for sooo long. I think there getting what they have earned.
Wife and i where setting traffic yesterday when she noticed how much she liked the way a certin car looked. It was a new Pontiac Bonnivlle. As we inched closer to the car she started to see the horrible panel alginments, with its god awful lower beltline body panels already getting a wavie look to them. I told her its the sporty model of the Delta 88 Royal we use to own. That was all she needed to hear. And was thankful we where in a Accord.
GM has years to develope a 4 cyclinder engine to compete with Toyota and Honda. None yet. The idiots. Ford has aleast given it a try with the engine in the Fusion. But its raspy and buzzy under pressure.
Hybrid and GM = BAS,,, thats a frickin joke. They owned or still own Electromotive. Hybrid locomotive and marine engines and systems. A world leader in hybrid and all they can do is BAS?
Later GM

Newsweek Article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11569587/site/newsweek/) on GM's health, retirement, etc. costs.... Not a pretty picture.

In the early 1980's Gm paid me a lot of money to build them some bolt on overhead cam conversions with variable valve events for pushrod engines. They refused to test them in an Atkinson format as per my suggestion.
They could have saved billions in tooling cost if they would have pursued this proposal. I got to go see a warehouse full of mothballed research engines and I suppose thats where the engines I built ended up. Not saying I have been doing this for a long time but my original prototype, which is still driveable, is a radiaclly modified 3 cylinder Corvair.
Nothings going to change at GM without a real change in attitude. I just don't see it happening.

Well, someone has to be on their side. So I wish them the best and hope they get themselves together.

The best part of the article is the mention he has a Hummer he drives the paint off, but wants GM to kill it off. Is his website www.HummerSucks.com (http://www.HummerSucks.com)? :p
