I was not sure whether to post this is FE or General, but here goes:

All in all a pretty positive article. Sounds like they interviewed Wayne. However, I thought their overall presentation of the benefits of hypermiling was a little weak. I wrote the writer a letter "suggesting future improvements." :)

There was a Maurice del Prado listed in the article, but I have never seen him post here unless he just never uses his name.

And that brings up a related question. Who are here from the SF Bay area? When I looked it up on the map, it seemed pretty dismally underpopulated. I'd like to know that there are a few hypermilers near me. :)

So here is the upshot. The reporter wrote me back saying she had gotten a large number of responses on the article, but my explained hypermiling the best, and she wanted me to help her do another article highlighting gas saving techniques.

The result was an hour and a half phone interview Wednesday, and a photo shoot including my grill blocks and Scanguage yesterday. (I had to wash and vacuum the car! :)
Now, if I ever shoot the pictures myself, I can post them for pcs0snq)

Tuesday, they are going to do a video shoot for the online edition. I am going to drive the video guy back to his office in Walnut Creek. I'll probably get so nervous I tank the tank, so to speak. Wish me luck and a calm demeanor!

Coming soon in a paper near you,
Larry

Wow Larry That's cool. There's a Fit owner on the Honda Fit site that also got some air time and video. Get the video on You tube so you can show all your pals.

PS Ride around with the windows closed, to give them the needed vivacious feel for it all..

BTW I must of missed the FE gains them grill blocks provided???
