Greetings from Memphis. I'm a proud owner of an 06 Civic Hybrid and am looking forward to the tips that get tossed around for better mileage. I work in the IT department of a chemical company here in Memphis, I am an atypical hybrid owner in the fact I am a very Conservative Republican, and I am married with a 15 month old son, and another baby on the way!

Hi! Don't forget to check out Tarabell's article on maxing-out the HCH-II if you haven't already seen it.
It's good to have people from a healthy mix of ideological backgrounds. The only requirement here is a desire to save fuel :)

You would be supprised to know that hybrid owners don't fall along party lines. There are many of us conservative types that drive hybrids. On a poll on GreenHybrid it showed there was no monopoly by any political preference.
As far as tips about fuel economy I think you will find many tips. Also, FE isn't something that is one size fits all and we are all constantly trying to find different strategies for different issues we face in our own commutes. For a lot of use MPG is a lifestyle change. Every day we think about how to do better. Hopefuly you will get the bug as well and push yourself to undreamed of levels.

I'm of a similar background to you.
I may pass by Memphis on the way to HybridFest driving from Dallas to Madison, Wisconsin.
