First off I must say what brought me to this site was a link in a post over at the GH forums
to a wonderfull article written by Tarabell (Adapting Basic Hypermiling Techniques to the HCH-II).
Brand new HCH owners will be lucky to have info like that available to them
especially before making a big purchace.

Now that I see where Xcel disappered to, I must say thank you for the many items
posted at the GH forums that helped me get a head start on being a hypermiler.

Some of my goals is to get 70 mpg and 800 miles out of a tank
without overfilling fuel. Current best is 65.7 mpg with 708 miles on the tank.

Anyway's I am not a big poster but will ocasionally add something if I think
I can contribute or acknowledge someone elses good work.

Thanks and see ya around,

PCK

Thanks for joining us over here. Obviously you have a clue as to what to do. I'm sure you will eventualy get the 70mpg and 800 miles of a tank you strive for. There is always a little bit of chance with mileage. Will you get a light, will traffic cooperate? Some day the stars will align and it will happen. Until then all you can do is practice and do your best and push every day.

One reason for this site is as a support group. Lots of us try every day to push a little more and it can be discouraging when you have a bad day. Just having others around saying "You'll do better tomorrow" helps. I hope you continue to hang around and be part of our community. The more people the better.
