Yesterday, I finally got my SGII...I was so excited that I rushed back over to my car, ripped the package open and had it installed in less than 5 minutes... All I can say is Wow... this is a great product! In just a few miles of driving, I had identified several items I was doing wrong while hyper-miling the Corolla and my first commute today landed a 51.3 average mpg over 82.7 miles. This evening, I also used it on my Silverado to obtain an error code (EGR sticking), fixed that and cleared the error as well. Anybody on the fence, thinking maybe yes, maybe no...I'd suggest that its a great tool and mine just paid for itself today with the truck problem.
I've read through some of the threads concerning the SG, and several of them referred to calibrating the device, fuel tank capacity was the most often one I read about. I readily understood that concept, but are there any other settings that may normally need to be tweaked. Such as the mpg setting, or rpm's displayed and such? Or is the SGII generally good to go right out of the box, after the tank size issue is dealt with of course?
