I manage to average 35 driving 60mph and under. I used pluse and glide...and some help with a Scan Gauge II. Not bad for a 4200lbs, awd car.

I'm averaging about 32 using my MPG display on the dash. I'm still waiting to add the first tank, as I filled up today, but didn't note the mileage on the previous tank.

What are you taking the RPMs up to when you're pulsing? The CVT seems VERY touchy, so I'm still learning to DWL. I've noticed that, with the cruise on, it uses engine braking on the downhills to maintain a certain speed, but when I hit "Cancel", that engine braking doesn't apply, and it actually seems to manipulate the CVT to act as if it's in neutral. Because of this however, I don't know if it's cutting fuel when I coast.

I hope to continue that trend as well. There isn't much info on here about the freestyle, but for as huge as the car is, you would think it would be insanley popular, given the numbers it can put up. I can carry 6 adults, including me, very comfortably, and still average 27-30 in the highway.

I believe Ford had a hit with this car, but they never marketed it at all. They just rebadged it as the Taurus X, removed the CVT in favor of a 6-speed auto, and crossed thier fingers.

Dang, those are great numbers for a 4,200 lb car. Keep up the great work. Mine weighs half that, so that's like me getting 60 MPG!
