Lots of people took July 3 off to have a 5-day weekend, so I thought my work commute would be better....it was worse. :( At least five major accidents in Dallas this morning, including a fuel spill. Had to exit I635 (wrecks in both directions).
There was light rain for the first time in awhile this morning, but wondering if maybe there were drivers with a hangover? :(

Heavy rain here. I wasn't expecting much and I didn't get much ;)
I was wondering if the roads would be any lighter and I think they were a little. I probably could have done very well if it werent for the rain.
As that great movie once said "There's always tomorrow"
Hi Chuck:
___I was/am sitting on a record tank until early this morning when the heavy rain took her down a notch and then almost an hour of heavy rain near work for the ride home :( The 2 accidents encountered actually helped a bit as they were mostly the 10 - 40 mph rolling variety which helps tremendously vs. the dead stop and crawls I run into every few days. Maybe 2 miles of the dead stop and crawl type today which in my book is a huge success for the day before a Holiday in the Chicago area …
___Good Luck

it actually wasn't bad here at all. the sun finally came out, which is good since we had to get our hay cut, and it finally got done.
i ran into almost no traffic on the 4 lane into work, and only two trucks bugging me to move faster on the backroads home. heavy headwinds, both directions, go figure. i am making good use of coasting, though, and keeping it above 60mpg....
