OK, I know this has nothing to do with hypermiling but being from the country (Colombia) this news is coming from I have to share it and who best with my fellow hypermilers. I also hope I used the correct topic -> General.
So here goes, not sure if anyone has heard the news but yesterday Colombian military men were on a mission to rescue 15 hostages that have been held some 6 years others more than 15 years by a rebel group called FARC(Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) which have been at war with the Colombian Government for more than 40 years. Here is a news clip found on the front cover of the NYT http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/04/world/americas/04colombia.html?hp
The rescue was phenomenal with no shots fires or violence clean as possible thanks to good intel from the individuals involved.
Like I said earlier in this post, I know it has nothing to do with MPG's but I was so excited about the news that I had to share it with all of you.
Thanks for hearing me out.
