I filled up today.
I thought it wouldn't be so good because of:
1. I took it to the dealer for an oil change and I forgot to tell them to leave my Dunlops @ 51PSI. They usually deflate to about 40lbs if not requested. That was about 250 miles ago and it doesn't seem to roll quite as well but been lazy and not checked them.
2. About 175 miles of heavy rain/storms to drive through.
I accidentally reset my tank trip meter about 250 miles out, but still got a finishing FCD pic I'll upload later.
Beginning 69,676
Ending 70,659
983 miles
Pumped 13.79g to the rim
71.28MPG
OMG I can taste that 1,000 mile benchmark!

Are you carrying around a tank of gas so you can push it to the limit?

Steve,
Lets see 1,000 Minus 983 = 17 Miles to get to the 1,000 Mile-Mark.
Okey, I give up, Steve you only liked 17 Miles so why did you do the fill-up?
That is like Nothing, I'm so Confused here  Help me out. ;)
Did I miss something or not do the numbers right based on the 983 and the 1,000 Mark?

Thanks all.
My last fuel bar went out about 10 miles from home last night, and I drove home empty.
Sometimes it comes back up a bar or two in that case the next day, but was not the case today. Terry I was in a hurry- one of those leave the house too late, gotta fill up days- which meant I had to abandon my usual favorite route and jump right onto a 70MPH limit freeway.
We know that we consume considerably more fuel in warmup...regarding Lakedudes question didn't want to risk running out.
As mentioned I had reset my tank's trip meter and didn't realize I was so close to that 1,000 mile barrier. Had I known it may have been very tempting to bring the garden tracters gas can.
