___After speaking to a Toyota communications rep this afternoon, here is the latest.
The 2009’s will be a carry over of the 2008. The 2010 will be the next gen Prius-III w/ the std. NiMH’s but with the larger motor and more amenities etc. and will available sometime in 2009. A local dealership has stated a release date of March 2009 for the 2010 which would make the 2009 a very short run indeed. I am just as confused as the rest of you but the rumor mill keeps on rolling :confused:
___The next gen 2010 will be shown/released whatever at the 2009 NAIAS Press event. In 2010, the PHEV’s will arrive but only in Fleet form so Toyota can wring them out. That 2010 Fleet PHEV may or may not be Li-Ion equipped. The 2011 or 2012 PHEV that will be released to the public as a PHEV will include Li-Ion’s. Pricing and all-electric range (AER) has yet to be determined or announced.
