I mentioned him last year at GH. There is this guy at the gym that is hard-core environmental - probably involved in the Green Party if there is one in North Texas. When he got his Prius, it came loaded, including navigation. He was the one that mentioned An Inconvienient Truth.
He would have a much bigger audience than just me here. How do I get him from just gabbing and going online?
Hi Chuck:
___I can send you a few CleanMPG business cards if you would like to tag his car or at least hand them to him? Pass me on your home addy and I will send a few out by snail-mail this morning.

Why not just ask the guy? "Hey, you online? Got time for another discussion forum? Hybrid and fuel economy related? Cool!"

I would prefer the focus stay on driving for fe. If he is interested in that then sure invite him. If he isn't and only interested in the environment then maybe he would be too "hardcore."
I realy want to keep the main focus on mileage and the secondary on enviroment since there are many many very good enviromental sites and very few FE sites.

Well, he can talk about the FE and emissions of vehicles and obviously very interested in such. I would not say there is a lot of very direct political talk, but his proposed solutions likely would go beyond what the majority of us here would recommend. It would probably make upping the CAFE for cars to 50mph - trucks to 35mpg seem mild (I might be speculative).
I think he could talk about the FE aspect here....
