According to Edmunds (http://cnn.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/ViewMarketModels/category=market/attribute=hybrid) , Toyota is tied with this automaker for biggest offering of hybrids (five). Honda only has three, about to drop to just two. This quote comes to mind...
There are three kinds of lies: lies, ****ed lies, and statistics

I've hardly gone to www.edmunds.com (http://www.edmunds.com), and this list will hardly tease me into going there. A flame-war can easily occur on what a true hybrid is, but it seems everyone could agree they are propelled by the ICE and another powerplant such as an electric motor.

Chuck, I think your statement is correct in that Hybrids do use two sources of Power. One being Electric and the other an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine).

This is going to floor you but believe it or not I have had Zero Problems over at "Edmunds". No-Joke none at all. I must not be on the Threads that have the Mods. up in Arms.

All hybrid is is a buzz word. It realy is insignificant. Show me the FE numbers as thats the whole point.

I'm not saying they need High FE, just that any thing promoted to add FE should do a good job of doing that.

I have not been at the www.edmonds.com (http://www.edmonds.com) forums so I can't truly make a valid judgement, but a number of hybrid drivers have complained about the bias against them - lots of gearheads.

My point is the way Edmonds compiled their hybrid list. The list the Silverado twice and the Sierra twice. If you take that list seriously, GM has five offerings - just like Toyota. I don't know what distortion is if this isn't. The Silverado/Sierra in motion is not hybrid at all, yet it's listed four times.

Where are you getting that a non Toyota maker has 5 hybrids? I followed the link and see that GM's trucks are listed double twice. They are listed as GMC and Chevy and again doubled up by listing 2006 and 2007. I guess if you counted funny that would make 4. I count it as zero by any standard.

Ok I guess you are counting the Saturn in with the "double twice" trucks?

The Saturn is legit, but the Sierra twice and the Silverado twice is bogus in my books.
