how do you guys feel about running the fan... with no a/c? does it effect the FE on your car? i wouldn't think so but im still a noob.:Banane43:

Good question - I run my fan all the time.


The fan does put a incredibly minor load on the engine via the alternator - but ( I guess ) it is so minor as to be inconsequential

unless you are driving a plug-in hybrid or electric car, ALL energy used in a car ultimately comes from the gas tank. will the use of the fan be noticeable? not likely. will the use of the a/c? yes. i lose about 8 mpg running the a/c. cant see any loss with the fan.
