Hi Laurie:

___Hot #$%*! You are right back to your old ways and what a comeback! Keep those kind of segments coming because it encourages all of us to do even better on our next jaunt out amongst the rest of the worlds driving public!

ROFL, wayne. i know i will never keep up the 80, it will drop to my usual 60. but it was dang fun to pull into the driveway and ask hubby to guess the mileage today. rubs it in alittle, since his honda is in the shop and he's having to drive his chevy truck to work.

This is Insight FE!

I'm curious, how much does an HCH weight? The Insight is only 1,800 pounds..

remember weight helps you coast however, the energy used to help you coast will be eaten by the brakes unless your planning not to use them ;)

I'll see your 80.6 and raise you 40.6. Yesterday after gassing up from my personal best tank of 102.2 MPG in my Insight, I got home with 121.2 after 7.7 miles. I don't know why but my car (and it seems yours too) shows way better milage just after a fill up. Did you over fill it? I did. I once got home with 135 and my wife (Laural) and a friend were going shopping in it and I told them not to mess up my milage, of cource they did, then I picked on them. I know I'm mean. I expected a heavy dose of reallity to set in today on the way to work but I got there with 115.8 after 35 miles. It will hit on the way home, I normally loose a little going home. Good luck on your next tank.....Louis

in answer to your question, no i didn't overfill it. i always try to fill up at the same station, and just go until the pump automatically turns off.

too funny about telling your wife not to mess up the mileage........i don't even let my hubby drive mine into the garage. he used to be all speed, but lately he's been doing some pretty good numbers on my old civic that he drives....it's a 93, and i think he got about 48mpg on his last fill. this week the poor old thing is in the shop for some much needed repairs, and then he can put another 150,000 on it.
