Well I've certianly been hanging around here long enough. Time to introduce everyone to my rides...

2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
http://home.ptd.net/~richxku/1/Img_0869.jpg
Stock aside from a Green reusable air filter, gauge pod, and ham radio with APRS tracker.
Best segment: 36.7 MPG/80mi; Best tank: 30.1 MPG (403mi)
Primary techniques: Pulse and coast (nice-on), DWL, DWB, RR, leaving it parked in the garage.
Weakness: AWD eats momentum, Too much fun to continuously hypermile
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2007 Honda Fit Sport 5MT
http://home.ptd.net/~richxku/1/Fit1.jpg
Completely stock
Best segment: 78.1 MPG/80mi; Best Tank: ~54 MPG (501 miles to E!)
Primary techniques: Regular and high-speed pulse and glide, FAS, DWB, RR.
Weakness: Short 5th gear forces high RPM at highway speed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2008 Ford Escape XLT V6 4WD
http://www.richmazz.com/Misc/escape.jpg
Company vehicle, I don't pay for gas, but I don't waste it either.
Best Tank: 28.1 MPG / 422.9miles
Primary techniques: DWB, DWL, RR.
Weakness: Automatic, onboard equipment loads alternator, heavy, poor Cd

And there you have it. 3 very different vehicles, 3 very different ways to make the most of them. :bananapowerslide:

Hi Rich:

___I am partial to the Fit myself! Especially after seeing what you are doing with it as of late ;) Nice rides and I wish we would have had the chance to take this to the home page as you certainly deserve the recognition :)

___Good Luck

I've been leading cleanmpg.com in gray vehicles since 2008!

Personally, I don't think it is too late?

I'm with Wayne on this one, too. You've changed my mind on how much the Fit is worth with some dedication -- that 70.2 is a solid 18mpg higher than I've ever managed on a longer trip in my Elantra! Excellent doesn't begin to describe what you do with that car. :)

Welcoming another vehicle to the collection...

2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4, I4, 5MT
http://home.ptd.net/~richxku/1/Img_1540.jpg

Just for carrying stuff, it will probably be a while before I complete a tank to see how I did. It appears to be the most efficient 4x4 available at 23 highway. I'm sure I can beat that.
