I just have a few questions about this (I want to buy one, but not to find out I can't use it) These work with the ' 05 Honda Civic? Also, can I install it or do I need someone to do it for me? (How easy / complicated is it - outside of changing my oil, oil filter, air filter or changing tires, I am not skilled at working with cars - just driving them :) )

Hi Kayasbluetaco:

___Yes, the ScanGauge-II w/ X-Gauge will work in your 05 Civic like a charm.

___For install, it is like plugging in a cord into a wall socket. It really is that easy. For setup, you basically change the default 3.0 to your Civic’s engines size of 1.8L, add a few other parameters and you are done.

___A quick one for you … Is your Civic an HX or Hybrid model with lean burn or one of the other 97+ % of the Civic’s out there, a DX, LX or EX? The leanburn HX and Hybrid Civic’s have other issues dealing with FE calibration that needs to be discussed beforehand so let me know.

No... standard civic 5 speed.... hybrids were out of my price range because I owed too much on my trade in (too many miles on it for it's age and an anti Bush bumper sticker that pissed off the dealer LOL - I got screwed, but I needed a more efficient car..)

Thanks! I'll place my order now...

Hi Wayne! Thanks for coordinating this. I am pretty new to this forum so pardon my ignorance.

Can it be sent internationally? I am in Perth, Western Australia. Do let me know as I am keen on a set. Payment by paypal?

Thanks again!

Hi Loonster:

___Anything can be shipped that distance but the cost might be out there! I have to go to the Post Office today and I will find out what it costs to Perth for you.

___Great to say hello to a native Australian and wow, that would be a ScanGauge shipped to the other side of the world indeed :)

Hi Wayne,

I just sent a paypal payment for the scanguage, but I think I jumped the gun somewhere, will it use the info and shipping address from my paypal for this? I didn't enter it anywhere.

Hi Travis:

___Check your inbox as I sent out a confirmation E-Mail just a few minutes ago to verify what showed in your PayPal form was where you wanted it shipped too.

___Steve, Ted and Frank, please do the same as well ;)

Is Paypal the only payment method and at what point do we pay, now or when the 20 is met?

Hi Korbynlehr:

___Pay per the PayPal link. You can send me a personal check as well but that one would take a week + to clear before I could send it out? If you live near the IL/WI border and Lake Michigan, I can deliver/you can pick one up in person if you would like as well?

___AS it stands, this one will probably finish off tomorrow. I have to apologize to all for the server situation we ran into today. CleanMPG was simply overwhelmed and it slowed the place to below a crawl … more like the speed of a slug in the dirt :ccry:

___Steve, Ted, Frank, Jeff, Robert, Steve and Kurt, please check your E-Mail and reply to the name/address request asap.

___Good Luck and thanks all!

Haha.... I thought there will be more Aussies on this board given the recent fuel hikes. Time for the rest of the world to catch on to hypermiling, I say.

Thanks for that , Wayne.

I know this is supposed to work for any vehicle 1996 or later that has OBD II but I just wanted to confirm with everyone.

Will this system be plug-and-play compatible with a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0FFV? Will it be fully functional with my vehicle? Real-time MPG, Horsepower, etc?

If the answers are yes, I would like to get in on this buy. I can paypal the $$$ right away.

Thanks!

Hi, Wayne.

I made the PayPal transaction when I placed the order, but I see 'pending' in the status column. Do I need to do anything else?

BTW: Gas over $4.00 and now your site is swamped! Tough being popular, huh?

Hi, FixedGear! Wayne has to update the table manually and he was up late trying to catch up after we got the server going again. :)

Hi Loonster:

___The USPS said it would be between $18.00 and $65.00 depending on the time frame plus tracking and insurance. I think we could get by with a $22.00 or so shipment. Do the vehicles available in Australia have OBD-II ports would be my next question?

___Sweesiong, I received your payment through PayPal and sent you a confirmation E-Mail. Reply and your set!

___Steve O., yes it will work in your Ranger. It will work great on regular gasoline and it should work great even on E85 as their will be more air brought in per mile traveled. E85 might take a little more offset to calibrate however?

___Fixedgear, I do not see a payment from a member or guest forrom Stow MA. PM me with more details as to what the pending part is?

___Tempduke, you are still good to go if you would like :)

___All, this one is filled but I need to get some more verifications before sending it into LinearLogic for shipment tomorrow morning. I won’t close it down just yet but if you do want to purchase through this Group Buy, please reply to the verification E-Mail I send out so we can have everyone on board and ready to go by first thing tomorrow morning.

___About the rush, there isn’t any! The Group Buys have been coming along regularly so do not feel the need to rush. Members and Guests start these all the time and I will do my best to keep on top of them as well.

Steve_O> Horsepower is not a gauge by default... BUT, you can program it in as an additional "Xgauge" ;). I was mildly curious to see what my HP rating was, but apathy has gotten the better of me. That, and since I've slowed down to/below the posted limits, HP just doesn't seem to matter as much. I have a 99 Elantra and the SgII works fine with my car, if it helps.

Will this work in a 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 engine? What does this do? Does it help save gas? Thank you.

Hi Arch:

___It will indeed work with your Jeep. The following should help answer a lot of your questions. CleanMPG reviews the ScanGauge II. (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4495). It is the one tool that a hypermiler would never leave home without … If he or she can stand doing so or not :D

Wayne,

Will you be doing another one? Also I am curious about something. I am considering switching my car over to flex fuel with this still work with that?

Thanks,

Hi Wayne,

I hope its not too late to get on board with this, I just paid via paypal.

I have a 2007 Ridgeline, I have a big dog and a couple of motorcycles including dirt bikes so for me a truck makes sense, plus living 8 miles from work I only drive maybe 7500 miles a year tops. Just by driving sensibly I increased my average from 15.4 to 17.0, hopefully the Scan Gauge will add on to that even more. I can't wait to see what a difference it makes going 50, 55, 60, down the highway.

Thanks!

Hi Da9Dad:

___Love the Avatar :D Unfortunately, Pre-OBD-II vehicles cannot use a ScanGauge-II. You should however consider a SuperMID if your ride is Fuel Injected. PM the member “Yoshi” as his device offers some of ScanGauge features but for pre 96 vehicles. That device requires a tap into an injector line and the VSS.

___Steve O, got ya covered :)

___Korbynlehr, I am sure someone will want to start another and at the rate this one filled, I suspect by the first thing tomorrow morning, the next will be in the beginning stages of being filled. Flexfuel should not be a problem as you are drawing more air in per mile and that is the real way the Scangauge reads your FE. E85 burns at stoich as well!

___Scutchins, your #34 so you are on the list too.

___Your Frank T., right? Don’t worry, you’re in. I think I might shut this one down at Midnight and anymore will have to go to the next one. This one blew through 20 so fast I was shocked but the CNN effect will taper off and we will be back to normal probably tomorrow …

Hi All:

___Just a quick update … All of your orders are in Linear Logic’s hands so hopefully I will receive confirmations numbers soon. I usually receive them after half of you have received your ScanGauges which isn’t a bad thing I guess ;)

___I received the last Group Buy (#9’s) Confirmation numbers which I will E-Mail out this evening as I have to run and pick up one of my mowers and then cut almost 3 acres of way to tall grass :)

Hi All:

___Another update. I expected to see some members with their ScanGauge’s in hand from this Group Buy given it has been 6 days since it completed. James at Linear Logic told me half this Group Buy was shipped out today and the second half will be tomorrow. Group Buy #11 and #12 are much smaller but they will not be shipped until next Monday :( Sorry about that to all but when I receive the tracking numbers, I will E-Mail those to you all as well.
