This article says we'll have them in 2010.

Hi Kevin:

___I thought we had done a story on the Tweel a few years back but with the server in a delicate state right now, I will forgo the search until later.

___Anyway, it will be interesting if they can make a dent. Of course if they come with an RRC that doesn’t match that of a B381, SP20 FE or RE92 at 60 #’s, I think some Honda Hybrid as well as most others might not promote let alone use a Tweel either?

___Good Luck

I remember hearing about it years back but at the time I was driving my 87 Silverado every day and I didn't like the idea of running something you couldn't air down for flotation and a wider footprint for offroad use, so I wrote it off altogether.

Of course, things are much different now. :D

I wonder what "pressure" will they simulate in them? Will it be a useless 32psi or 50psi?
If it's 32, they won't be much good to the likes of us!

They will still be safer for the general population who doesnt know about tire pressure. Also, 32psi is better than what a lot of people have in their tires anyway.
