Here (http://www.csis.org/component/option,com_csis_events/task,view/id,429/) is an audio transcript of a very interesting conference to discuss the "Future of Global Oil Supply: Saudi Arabia" with Matthew Simmons, President, Simmons and Company International, and Mahmoud Abdul-Baqi, Vice President, Exploration, Saudi Aramco, and Nansen Saleri, Manager, Reservoir Management, Saudi Aramco. Also included on this page are the speaker's slide presentations.

The audio transcipt lasts several hours and includes presentations by Mr. Simmons, Dr. Abdul-Baqi and Dr. Saleri as well as a Q&A session. Mr. Simmons covers concerns highlighted in his book "Twilight in the Desert : The Coming Saudi Oil Shock and the World Economy". Dr. Abdul-Baqi and Dr. Saleri give a fasinating look at Saudi Aramco's reservoir management practices, their advanced production technology and their plans and justification for a long term plateau on oil production.

The transcript is relevant, interesting and well worth hearing.

The Saudi Aramco slide presentation included on the page I mention in my post above is a summary. The complete presentation is available from the Saudi Aramco web site here (http://www.saudiaramco.com/sa/webServer/general/Presentation_Fifty_Year_Crude_oil_Supply.pdf).
