Went to the yankees game today, Woo hoo! they won!! But more exciting was the MPG! haha!

We averaged 41.9 mpg roundtrip :-) Not bad!!!!

Im glad she's so understanding, and rochelle is taking a liking to this hypermiling :-)

Oh yeah, about 30 miles outside the city, we saw gas at 4.49/gal. off of I87, 9 miles down 87, it was 3.95.

Some of this HAS to be gouging!!!

I agree that some of this has to be gouging. Compare the oil industry to the airline industry. The airline industry is cut throat with great competition and a small profit margin. If big oil were truly competing with one another each company would not be making billions in record profit this past quarter.

Good to hear about your hypermiling success, though. Keep it up!
