Pittsburgh Steeler's quarterback Ben Rothlisberger was conscious after getting in an accident in downtown Pittsburgh. Despite requests to wear a helmet, he was not wearing one (which is legal there). There was a pool of blood, but his is conscious. No word if the injuries will affect his chance to defend their Super Bowl title.

Latest word is he basically "kissed" the passenger-side windshield and maybe column. Face lacerations, broken jaw, broken nose, bruised knees.
