I'm the kind of guy who smoothly accelerates and keeps it at 2000 RPMS. When I see a red light I try my best to stay in 2nd gear to conserve my momentum so I can beat all the losers who wait at the red light (no really sometimes I can be a real dick, middle finger all of those losers and then pass all of them and be the first in line from a two lane to a one lane road. and then yell out CONSERVE YOUR MOMENTUM you .... ....! Then I cruise with the speed limit and those guys are flashing their high beams at me. Weee I guess I can chuck this rear view mirror now!) I guess this is my revenge for all those tail gaters out there! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE how are your brakes working they better be good when your behind me .....! I'm on the right lane already what more do you want? Go ahead and punch it to the red light see if I care! I"ll beat you when the light turns green, gareenteed.

As you can see my road rage comes from my inability to drive conservatively thanks to all the fools who claim the road is theirs, although there was this one time I was slowing down for a red light and suvs, trucks and fast cars were doing the same behind me! It was a two laner too I couldn't believe it! But that's rare...because NO ONE DRIVES like I do around here except on these forums.

But now that I've learned your secrets, its time to take it to the next level! That's why I'm here and of course help those who seek the same kind of enlightment I have recieved from many of these veteran members.

Trust me there are bigger dicks than me =) I'm only a dick if you do things that get you no where! AKA SPEEDING UP TO A RED LIGHT and KISSING MY BUMPER! WHy can't you just back off a little and then cruise at speed limit? You KNOW THOSE RED LIGHTS WILL ALLOW you to catch up to those speedy greedy people SO WHY DO IT?

Statistically shown, most agressive driving only yeilds 5 mins saved out of a 1 hour trip. YET you wasted three times of fuel just to save that 5 mins! SINCE WHEN DID WE LIKED UNFAIR TRADES?

Ever since we thought oil was water... what a #$)@*$)#( joke.

No really I love you guys ;) glad to be here! :D

Glad your hear too. It sounds like you are doing all the right things. I'm sure you can fine tune and add more tools to increase your mileage even more.

I think one good thing about this site is that it will be a place to offer each other support and a sympathetic ear vs. other sites that say "You are inconsiderate. Why don't you just go with the flow of traffic" and stuff like that.

It is time we take back the road from those that are abusing it. Changing driving culture starts 1 person at a time. I wonder how long it will be before the person passing me three times on my trip home realizes this and starts questioning how I can always be in front of them.

Currently we have 2 of the best hypermilers around on this site (xcel and krousedb) and I'm sure they will be good influences on us. And I'm sure we can all work together to push the envelope of what to expect out of a vehicle.

LOL!!! It happens all of the time. I especially love the guy in the Range Rover that blows by me only to have to slam on brakes for a 15 MPH curve. One day he will roll over and I will have to probably administer CPR.:D

philmcneal,

I've devoted many posts ranting about the two-legged animals on the road.

One of my fantasy punishments for some of these agressive drivers is sentence them for a week in an environment where everybody tramples the offender - maybe in a prison? Hopefully this would make them sick of acting aggressive. That or else make the second punishment more severe.

My expectations are low - just to see everyone driving reasonable near the speed limit, but even that seems too unrealistic. :(

for once i like to see NOT one sign of aggression when I drive, but no I always have to see it... its almost disgusting what goes through these people's minds...

no consideration at all...
