Is there a way to reprogram or purchase an ECU for better FE? I know there are ones out there for better performance and power but what about the other end of the spectrum?

I know there are ones out there for better performance and power but what about the other end of the spectrum? There are ways to reprogram a car's ECU but you would have to have access to the equipment and have knowledge of the software being used. I know that several people are able to make their own chips for some Honda vehicles. As for aftermarket chips, I contacted JET several years ago about whether or not they had any plans for an "economy" chip for my Durango when I used to own one.:o-I finally saw the light and bought my first Saturn!-They responded with something to the effect of "not now or anytime in the future do we plan on making 'economy' chips." I wonder what their response would be if I asked them today? vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
