Thanks Bill, I was happy with that :)

Quick change, load the car and off for the weekend to Whitby, tail/crosswind S5, 63 to 73°F:

Today in the Prius. I didn't drive the car at all
after I arrived in Northbrook Friday at 5:00 PM.
Sunday , we went to Milwaukee in her car , a 2019 Fit CVT.
I had never driven it before , and it was a pleasant surprise.
Great , precise steering , not as twitchy as the Civic.
Fuel economy for the approx 150 miles was 51.8 fcd.
Three of us in the car, A/C all the way.
    On I-94 I did 60 MPH , on Rte 41 about 50-55.

How is the A/C in that Fit? Mine struggles in the hot air here in the southern Mid west and will can barely keep cool. No tint in the windows though and a giant black dash in the front window. Mine is a 2011 manual.

It seemed to be okay. I don't like it terribly cold myself , so I let the girls adjust it until they were happy.
    Ambient temp was 90-94 F.
The car is BLACK outside and inside.
    And the car is a 2020 , not 2019.

It has always been like that for my car. After purchase we took it down to NW Arkansas when it was 98-100F that day and I would say it was on max cold, with the Fan at 3 out of 4. It was still maybe 80-85 in the car, and didn't matter if the vent was intake or circulate. If the fan was in 2 then the car would just heat up and you couldn't feel the cool air. If you have it on 4 there is not enough time for the air to exchange on the radiator. This car will not freeze you out for sure. The other cars I have had usually have no problems.

I may need to have it looked the next time I take it in for Oil or for a recall notice.

    thanks

We don’t need to use A/C much in the UK

Yeah , my Civic is gone. But I am now dreaming of buying some kind of PHEV.

I want a new one ( $4500 tax credit ) but they are extremely hard to find around here.
Hyundai directed me to a dealer in New York , saying that was the closest place to get an Ioniq PHEV.
There might still be a chance to get a Prime from an IL dealer. But I WON'T buy the Limited , or
whatever the most $$$ model is.

    35.1 miles , fcd = 65.5 x .943 = 61.8 MPG.
I found a route from work to Diane's house that
    should yield 70+ MPG ( actual , summer ).
That's the only driving I plan to do this weekend.
If we go out , we take her Fit.

Friday lunchtime, motorway route, crosswind N5, 66°F:
    53.2 (FCD 56.0) / 21.2

Collected youngest daughter's new car on Saturday - an Audi A1 Sportback 30 TFSI Sport S Tronic - it's got a 1.0 litre turbo with 110bhp - really nice motor - very different to her old Fiat 500! It's a dual-clutch 7 speed auto but it was supposed to be a stick shift - the dealership made an expensive mistake so she's got a more valuable car with the auto box she would have liked anyway but couldn't justify the extra $$$ - result!

Great bike ride Sunday morning - 53.5 miles @ 18.8 mph

This morning, motorway route, crosswind N7, 57°F:
    52.4 (FCD 55.2) / 21.7

    Tank up 0.1 at 51.3 (FCD 54.0) / 486.7 / Range 195 . Guess gauge F____|_«««E . UG up 0.4 at 48.1 / DTE 163

Taking car to garage near home tonight to get it's 6 year service (oil change and inspection) and picking up a courtesy (loan?) car to use tomorrow.
