    Today , very good conditions. Dry roads , 58 deg F ,
    wind S 8 MPH. 35.1 miles , fcd = 67.2 x .943 = 63.4 MPG.
Last pip on fuel gauge started flashing at 590 miles.

On the way home today , there was a headwind part
of the way (W 13 MPH ) but it didn't seem to hurt much.
Temp was 76-77 F. Scenic route #2. One stop at Amoco ,
but I usually don't shut off car for stops of ten minutes or less.
    32.4 miles , fcd = 79.0 x .943 = 74.5 MPG.
    New tank is now at 6.2 miles , fcd = 80.9 x .943 = 76.3 MPG.

I won't include the fill-up in this post ; I left my journal at work.

They had the Sibelius Symphony #2 scheduled on our KING FM radio station, but I missed it. I’m glad you didn’t miss Scenic route #2!

Not yet. If she does not go into labor today , they induce labor tomorrow.
I get to stay there a few days to take care of the critters.
You know , milk the goats , shear the sheep.

    Best wishes.

And I know about that last part. That's close to my normal daily life. You any good at milking?

I have milked goats. But not since 1979. It takes
muscles that you didn't even know you had.

I understand that. Milking a goat that’s trying to butt you with horns, should take some unused muscles.

Well , I was careful to only attempt milking the FEMALE goats.
Even a city boy like me knows the difference.

Sure enough , I lost my receipt for Saturday's fill-up. Bet it will turn up later today
    or tomorrow , but I know this much : $1.799 a gallon for 87 E10 , xxx.x miles and I think 9.762 gallons.

But going home today was okay. 48 deg in Naperville , 43 in Elk Grove , very nice
    favorable wind. 31.6 miles , fcd = 76.0 x .943 = 71.7 MPG.
    Tank is 99.7 miles , fcd = 73.8 x .943 = 69.6 MPG.

Yes, averaging 19.3 mph on a bicycle in hilly country is certainly hard work.
