Glad its March, now. We just went through 12 hours of snow late yesterday, last night & this morning. But the snow is less than 2 inches on the grass & the road is clear of snow............ RIGHT NOW!

What a difference the temperature makes! Three days ago, below freezing, I couldn't make 50 mpg no matter what I tried. Today at 67 degrees, I was sloppy and everything went wrong.

    54.6 mpg.

Temp will be in the 40s today , but heavy rain will take the fun out of THAT.

Today , 24 deg F , turned on both front and rear defrost as soon as car was moving. Of course , I
scraped off the frost first. :) 35.1 miles , 55.71 MPG. Not taking the scenic route home until Friday as
I am dog-sitting and I don't want to leave him alone too long. If I take the highway route home , I am gone for
about 12 hrs 15 min. The kids get back from Vegas Thursday night , then they can take care of their own damn dog.
Still , taking the highway route home can get me close to 60 MPG for the trip. Tank is at three pips , 418.2 miles ,
55.99 MPG. I will probably fill up Thursday AM.

    41.3 / 22.4 - not great :(

This morning, storm Gareth was really affecting my drive and causing even more traffic issues, lots of mini detours and slow, 45°F, headwind from West gusting to 50 :

Last night, motorway route again after a down and up the junction trick, 46°F, windy and wet, tailwind W24:
43.3 / 22.4 - still not great but slightly better

This morning, heavy rain and very windy, massive queue on main road into the city meant a different detour but got stuck behind a very slow truck that had the same idea :(, 46°F, 20W headwind gusting to 45:
    42.7 / 22.9 - poor

    Tank down 0.2 at 43.2 (FCD 45.5) / 176.1 / Range 450 . Guess gauge F_«««|««««E . UG down 0.1 at 45.0 / DTE 432

Last night I was all set to go motorway route with an down and up the junction trick - went down the slip road to roundabout, had to stop, looked up to see the 2-lane at a complete standstill instead of usual slow crawl  so took a quick decision to miss the last part out and go detour #3.
Haven't been this way in years as it used to always have a massive queue at a T-junction. Got away with it - I was only 1 car back - phew ! 49°F, very windy again, tail/crosswind NW30:
    42.8 / 21.4 - shorter route

This morning, less busy, getting fed up with this wind now , 52°F, 22W headwind gusting to 47 o_O:
    44.2 / 22.6

    Tank up 0.1 at 43.3 (FCD 45.5) / 220.1 / Range 400 . Guess gauge F__««|««««E . UG down 0.1 at 44.9 / DTE 387

This car is not at its best on the highway. :(

Forgot my numbers from Friday - went straight out in wife’s i10 to eldest daughter’s to take her out for lunch. She’s had an operation on her elbow - trapped ulnar nerve - she’s doing ok :).
