Welcome back to the grind :D

The national average gas price is down 1.1¢ (-0.5%) since last month at $2.262 - this time last year it was up at $2.600 so it's 33.8¢ (-13%) cheaper.
Diesel is down 6.7¢ (-2.2%) at $2.922. It's 7¢ (-2.3%) cheaper than this time last year. Diesel is at a massive 29% premium to regular.
    E85 is up 2.5¢ (+1.3%) to $2.010 - a year ago it was $2.120 so 11¢ (-5.2%) cheaper.

Normal route looked OK last night on Google traffic but by the time I got there it was rubbish, 2UP, no detours but stop/start/crawl, 30°F, mainly headwind ENE10:

    51.4 / 1.6 return

This morning, on my own, hovering around freezing 31 to 33°F, cross/tailwind NE10:

Thanks , Gord. Today , a balmy 8 deg F , but we got a few inches of snow last night , which of course was still on the road when
I left the house at 4:35. At least it was warm enough that the engine shut off when I came to a stop ( usually ) ,after about 12 miles.

The last four miles , I was even able to glide , but snow really limited the distance and duration of the glides.
I got barely 40 MPG for the 16.4 miles. But that was better the last two days.

87 octane 10% ethanol/gasoline blend has continued at $2.25 for Burlington, Kennewick, & Spokane, WA. Also falling from record January 2019 highs, the temperature is 14degF(finally dropped to 11degF) this morning, east of the Salish Sea(mid-Puget Sound), as the Arctic (actually far northern Canadian) cold invades the Pacific Northwest, thru the Fraser Valley. Still, not as cold as the 1950's sub-zero temps. Twelve inches of snow fell, too.
