Thanks for starting us up , Gord. Today's trip to work was okay.
    55 deg F , wind SW 2-3. 15.4 miles , 80.07 MPG.
Tank is at 358.0 miles , 76.82 MPG. Fuel gauge shows
six of ten pips remaining. Could be a PR tank , but I don't
break out the champagne every time THAT happens.

Nice trip today , Andrew !

This morning went to Brodsworth Hall for a walk:
    51.3 / 20.2
    38.5 / 1.0 - to garden centre for lunch
    56.3 / 20.8

    Tank at 50.4 (FCD 53.1) / 267.8 / Range 450 . Guess gauge F__««|««««E . UG at 48.1 / DTE 382

Very happy with this tank so far :D

Hard to be displeased with those many 50+ mpg segments. Well done.

Thanks Bill. Over 1/2 of the two longer segments today was highway. The cylinder-on-demand on my Audi works really well at 50 to 60 mph :D

There's hope for the 4 cylinder pickup with cylinder deactivation if it works correspondingly well. That's assuming the driver allows there to be times with light load.

Nice find for that sweet spot in your range of driving.

Yes , that's the weak link , the driver. AKA "the nut behind the wheel".

    Today , 49 deg F , wind NW 0-2. 15.4 miles , 76.63 MPG. Of ten pips on my fuel gauge , I lost the 5th one
at around 390 miles. Does that mean I can go 780 miles on this tank ? As always , I'm pretty cautious , but I will
sometimes go maybe 50 miles after the last pip starts flashing.

Tank is now at 421.2 miles , 76.63 MPG.

    Better this morning. 64.1 / 5.1

Tank is steady at 54.8 / 274 mi.

    Thanks Edwin.

I had a lunch meeting. Not quite so awesome. 6 lights / stopsigns over 2 miles.

    48.9 / 2.0 out
    41.6 / 1.9 back, following a black billowing F250. Seriously dude?!

Tank is down 0.2 to 54.6.

    Rollin' Coal !

When I have(had) my car serviced by the Toyota dealer , I would give them instructions , and
they would follow them. Like , don't adjust my tire pressure , don't run HVAC , don't leave the car in ready mode.
Yesterday after work , I needed to have my BAIID device reset , which happens every month. This was NOT the Toyota dealer.
They send the previous month's data to the Secretary of State , who determines if I've been a good boy. When I gave it to him , the fcd
read 59 MPG (4.4 miles). 11 minutes later , I get back in the car. I can tell that the A/C was running by the residual cold air
in the vents. Engine is RUNNING because SOC is down to 2/8. That only happens if you leave the ( electric ) A/C running
while car is in ready mode. Fcd read 49 MPG. Thanks , dude. It took several miles of less-than-efficient driving to
bring the SOC up to "normal" ( 6/8 ) . Grrrrrrrr ! I worked it the rest of the way home and ended up with 73.6 ( 68.45 actual)
    for the entire trip home.
    I hate when that happens.
Today was better. Edwin was the only driver. 63 deg F , wind NW 0-3. 15.4 miles , 81.84 MPG.
Tank is at 453.5 miles , 76.54 MPG.

    That's terrible, Edwin. :(

Edit: At least it didn't completely kill the tank.

Bill , it will be hard to kill this tank. It's looking like a PR tank at the moment.

I have to check my records , but I think the old PR tank MPG was around 72.

Of course, the previous PR was set with a different , more highway , commute.

Take your victories where you can. :) Besides, changing your commute is one of the better ways of doing the greater good if the option is available. Your new route happens to improve MPG while significantly decreasing fuel usage. A win on both counts.

Lunch trip to the tractor shop. 7 gallons of super synthetic hydraulic / transmission fluid. Another gallon in the front axle. 6qt of engine oil. And all the filters. Not a cheap trip, but won't be needed again for several years.

    51.1 / 8.4 out
47.7 / 8.3 back, with some AC. It's Texas summer, and it rained yesterday. Steamy.

    Tank is down to 54.4 / 309.

@BillLin - Yep that is what I did. Last time I used my car was 4/7. 0.74 gals in 69 days ;):p

It's staring to get dust on it. I may need to get it out just to get everything moving on it again and circulate the fluids.
