Welcome back to the grind :D

The national average gas price has climbed 5.8¢ since last week to $2.871 - this time last year it was only $2.338 so it's 22.8% (+53.3¢) dearer.
Diesel is up 5.3¢ at $3.132. It's 25.1% (+62.9¢) more expensive than this time last year. Diesel is at a 9.1% premium to regular.
E85 is also up to $2.397 - a year ago it was $2.062 so 15.1% dearer.

    Today , 54 deg F , almost no wind (NE0-2). 15.4 miles , 77.28 MPG.
Tank is at 355.6 miles , 71.24 MPG. On track for a new PR for tank MPG and distance ,
but a lot can happen in the next 375 miles/10 days.

49.6. Okay, I cheated a bit with some favorable runs, but with the heat coming and my finding the car's stride in local runs, it will soundly outperform my Echo. Tickling 50mpg is satisfying for me with my freeway-heavy commute...

    Today , 64 deg F , wind W1-5. 15.4 miles , 77.84 MPG.
Tank is at 386.5 miles , 71.61 MPG. Not so bad.
Today and Thursday I go to Planet Fitness after work , so instead
of one trip of 15.4 miles , I make two trips of approx. 8.5 each. That
costs me 5 MPG(fcd). But I need to stay fit.

Last night was very busy, lots of queues before and after motorway, sunny 66°F, 7mph crosswind N:
    43.4 / 21.6

The Audi Nanny informed me I was nearly out of gas a couple of miles into the journey:

    B7AA6C82-9614-41F0-8983-12EEE1C1D0EA.jpeg

When I got home I was informed that the cooker had died and wife needed some gas (she hadn't felt like doing it as she'd had two dental implants!!) so popped out in the Jazz/Fit, filled it up and filled 2 gas cans as well. Fetched fish and chips then put the 3 gallons in my car. Tank range went from 40 to 185 miles - that partial fill should keep me going for a bit! - I don’t like doing partial fills but at least I didn’t use any gas!!

This morning, 2UP, big queue approaching traffic light section, came to a complete stop quite a few times - stop/start worked well, sunny 48°F, 2mph crosswind N:
    50.1 / 22.5

    Tank steady at 47.2 (FCD 49.7) / 602.9 / New range 175 . Guess gauge F____|_«««E . UG steady at 47.4 / New DTE 181

    Lost 7th pip @ 560 miles, now back to 3 of 8

Thanks. I'm at work, wife's home today. One is bouncing off the walls, the other kept us up last night on a medication schedule. It's just strep so should be clear soon.

Tank is in a good place at 56.4 / 99 mi, still above F.
