February 2018 U.S. Auto Sales Down 1.5% with 1.30 Million Vehicles Sold

    The basics. That being the Top 18 Automotive OEMs selling in the U.S. Marketplace.
    • GM February 2018 Sales: 220,905 vehicles sold, down 6.9 percent below the 237,388 sold in February of 2017
    • Ford February 2018 Sales: 194,132 vehicles sold, 6.9 percent below the 208,440 sold in February of 2017
    • Toyota February 2018 Sales: 182,195 vehicles sold, up 4.5 percent over the 174,339 sold in February of 2017
    • FCA February 2018 Sales: 165,903 vehicles sold, down 1.4 percent below the 168,326 sold in February of 2017
    • Nissan February 2018 Sales: 129,930 vehicles sold, down 4.3 percent below the 135,740 sold in February of 2017
    • Honda February 2018 Sales: 115,557 vehicles sold, down 5.0 percent below the 121,686 sold in February of 2017
    • Subaru February 2018 Sales: 47,249 vehicles sold, up 3.8 percent above the 45,500 sold in February of 2017
    • Hyundai February 2018 Sales: 46,095 down 13.1 percent below the 53,020 sold in February of 2017
    • Kia February 2018 Sales: 40,672 vehicles sold, down 4.7 percent below the 42,673 sold in February of 2017
    • Mercedes-Benz February 2018 Sales: 27,894 vehicles sold, up 1.9 percent above the 27,383 sold in February of 2017
    • VW February 2018 Sales: 26,660 vehicles sold, up 6.0 percent above the 25,145 sold in February of 2017
    • BMW February 2018 Sales: 26,573 vehicles sold, up 7.5 percent above the 24,712 sold in February of 2017
    • Mazda February 2018 Sales: 25,731 vehicles sold, up 12.7 percent above the 22,824 sold in February of 2017
    • Audi February 2018 Sales: 15,451 vehicles sold, up 12.4 percent above the 13,741 sold in February of 2017
    • Mitsubishi February 2018 Sales: 12,973 vehicles sold, up 18.8 percent over the 10,924 sold in February of 2017
    • Jaguar/Land Rover February 2018 Sales: 9,013 vehicles sold, down 2.4 percent below the 9,231 sold in February of 2017
    • Volvo February 2018 Sales: 6,283 vehicles sold, up 35.1 percent above the 4,651 sold in February of 2017
    • Porsche February 2018 Sales: 4,382 vehicles sold, up 20.5 percent above the 3,637 down sold in February of 2017

    Let's hear it for the RAV-4 and Subaru's AWD everything. :)

    What I can't understand is how the luxury German brands are matching or surpassing VW, and Mazda, too.

    February 2018 U.S. Automotive industry sales of 1.30 million was down 1.5 percent vs. the 1.32 million sold in February of 2017.

    Hi Bill:

    VW is making its charge to get back to pre TDI days. Two more models - Atlas and Tiguan - to do it but they are charging. Mazda had a great March and you will see that shortly.
