    Hi All:

I am still waiting on Ford's electrified vehicle results which may not be available until the 6th. In the mean time, here are the U.S. Hybrid and Electriifed sales ranks - minus the Ford's results, for June of 2017.

    HEVs

    Fusion Hybrid - 5,697
    Toyota Prius - 5,476
    RAV4 Hybrid - 3,709
    Niro - 2,188
    Accord Hybrid - 1,799
    Highlander Hybrid - 1,478
    Camry Hybrid - 1,355
    Ioniq HEV – 1,348
    C-MAX - 966
    Prius c - 867
    Prius v - 773
    RX Hybrid - 655
    Sonata Hybrid - 653
    CT Hybrid - 615
    ES Hybrid - 481
    Avalon Hybrid - 352

    PHEV/BEVs

    Volt - 1,745
    Bolt - 1,642
    Prius Prime - 1,619
    LEAF 1,506
    C-MAX PHEV - 936
    Fusion PHEV - 707
    i3 - 567
    A3 e-tron - 324
    eGolf - 232
    Focus BEV - 110
    Sonata PHEV - 88
    Ioniq BEV - 58

Looking at the above, the Fusion Hybrid moves ahead of the Prius liftback for the third time this year. January, March, and now June. YTD sales of 31,537 still lag the Prius liftbacks 33,112 sold through the first 6-months of 2017 but it will be a competition to watch.

    Thanks, Wayne.

Looks like excess, pent up Prime demand may have been satisfied. Volt's back in front. Toyota needs to convert more of the regular Prius sales over to the plug-in.

    Cheers,
    Bill

Zerohedge had a piece on GM and their bloated inventory problem, 105 days of inventory.

    Hi Bill:

The Prime does look like it has peaked. Remember last month sales were ahead of both the Bolt and Volt.

Al, in GMs defense, at least the Silverado moved back ahead of RAM after three straight months of sub-par showings... Still way off the Ford F-Series mark however.

    Hi All:

The June 2017 U.S. Auto Sales Top 10.

It appears someone was pushing Equinox's!

Rogue is now the #1 selling CUV with its main rival, the CR-V falling out of the Top 10 for the first time in a long time. The RAV4 is right on its heels too!

I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE Eco coming next week but from our drives of the std. Corolla and iM over the past few years, it is not really a competitive offering other than passenger volume and std. safety equipment. Both solid metrics of course but the design, efficiency, and tech are lacking vs. recent competitors.

    Hi Bill:

    Thanks for the story link.

The Elantra took an even harder hit with sales off 40.7 percent last month even with the < $15K price points on most of the lineup (SE, Value Edition, and Eco w/ the deals stacked) here in Southern California. The Cruze is a decent car but includes really poor recent promotion imho. The Elantra is an even better car thanks to all the std. features and just got whacked for reasons I cannot put my finger on. When the antiquated and much smaller Focus, not so well equipped Sentra and pudgy Corolla easily outsell the Elantra and Cruze, something is not quite right in the C-segment sales arena.
