FCA September 2016 Sales Overview FCA achieved September U.S. sales of 192,883 vehicles, down 0.9 percent below the 194,666 vehicles sold in September of 2015. YTD sales of 1,714,360 are still up 3.6 percent over the 1,654,324 sold through the same period of 2015. FCA US retail sales represented 76 percent of total sales while fleet accounted for a very high 24 percent. FCA September 2016 Sales Highlights Ram pickup truck sales of 47,792 was up an amazing 29.2 percent over the 37,004 sold during September of 2015. YTD sales of 361,086 is up 8.3 percent over the 333,537 pickups sold through the same period of 2015. In the process, RAM outsold the perennial second position U.S. sales stalwart Silverado by 2,412 vehicles. Jeep sales were down 3 percent in September vs. September of 2015. The Jeep Grand Cherokee achieved sales of 18,507 vehicles in September, up 17.8 percent over the 15,715 sold in September of 2015. YTD sales of 153,926 are up 8.6 percent over the 141,679 sold through the same period of 2015. September 2016 U.S. Automobile Market Share Detail In September, Ford’s U.S. market share was down a significant 0.9 percent. On a volume basis, September of 2016 US Auto sales of 1.43 million vehicles was down a slight 0.7 percent below September of 2015s 1.44 million vehicle sales result. 2016 YTD sales of 13.05 million is up 0.2 percent above the 13.02 million vehicles sold through the same period of 2015 with the same number of selling days.
