Hi All: I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was worth sharing. A menacing beast reared up in preps for the onslaught... Cool weather pic regardless. #thunder #lightning #storm
Hi All: What Armegeddon might look like? Someone posted that it is a storm heading towards Lubbock, TX. #Efficient #long #distance #traveler #CleanMPG
Hi All: The tornado stretching almost a half a mile wide, struck just north Wray, Colorado on May 7, 2016. Here is a vid too.
Wayne, Those are mammatus clouds. They typically indicate severe turbulence associated with thunderstorms ("supercells") capable of producing tornadoes. They form on the underside of the "anvils" of such thunderstorms.
Wow-some pictures-professional pictures I guess? Bad Weather is something-fun as long as you are certain you are safe(or so young you don't know any better) Living in south louisiana-I have seen LOTS of bad weather- 5-6 hurricanes etc. But my first hurricane was in Fall River Mass-AUG/SEPT 1955 or so-yeah MASS. who would have thought. BUT the ABSOLUTELY worst weather-thunderstorm/lightning/parallel to the ground RAIN was in 1)the TX panhandle-HY 287 DFW-AMARILLO 2)and 100 miles N on I-10 OK/TX near that wind turbine farm in Weatherford. Such dry places-such horrendous weather- hot windy dry in summer-with miserable tornadoes cold dry windy in the winter Sure explains why it is depopulating Great place for WIND TURBINES- no one to whine about "ruined view" like the LEXUS LIBERALS in MASS Wind turbine farms look really cool at night in storms-flash of light-strobbing Turbines Like SCI-FI movie-spooky Great pictures Wayne
