LED Highs and Lows will be offered similar to what comes standard on the Prius for the very first time. A power tailgate with programmable opening-height adjustment is standard while the Premium Plus trim with the Audi advanced key feature includes hands-free opening and closing power tailgate. An available air suspension also include an Allroad setting that raises the ride height by an inch and an Offroad/Lift setting that raises the ride height by 2.4 inches. The optional Audi virtual cockpit (Vision package and Prestige trim) features a 12.3-inch display that delivers hi resolution rendering at 60 fps with an NVIDIA quad core processer running the back end. An optional full-color head-up display (HUD) projects relevant driving information directly in the driver’s field of vision. The optional 4G LTE, new in-car Connect care and Connect prime infotainment, security and service features include Audi Smartphone Integration with Android Auto and Apple Car lay for compatible devices, vehicle status report, Car Finder, Audi Service Request, Online Roadside Assistance, Automatic Crash Notification and Manual Emergency Call (SOS), and US market specific features like Curfew, Speed and Valet alerts that offer geofencing capabilities, and remote lock and unlock. Connect PLUS offers the 4G LTE connectivity service allowing customers to take advantage of Mobile Share or choose a data plan that best fits their needs. (A customer must subscribe to Connect PRIME in order to be eligible for Connect PLUS.) The optional Luxury package with Valcona leather includes individual contour front seats with ventilation and massage function, an extended Leather package, Alcantara headliner and power soft-closing doors. The Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System delivers a life-like musical experience through 23 speakers including two retractable acoustic lenses all powered by a 23-channel amplifier with an output of 1,920 watts. A Bose 3D Sound system is also available, which includes 19 speakers, a 15-channel amplifier and 558 watts to deliver acoustic accuracy and impact. Audi December 2015 U.S. Sales Overview Audi reported that it sold a record 20,399 vehicles in December, up 6.0 percent over the 19,238 sold in December of 2014. It was the 60th consecutive month of record sales for Audi in the U.S. For the year, another record with 202,202 vehicles sold, up 11.1 percent over the 182,011 sold through all of 2014. That is an excellent result for the luxury automaker. 2015 was the sixth consecutive year of record sales for Audi in and the first time the brand has achieved annual sales of more than 200,000 vehicles. Audi December 2015 U.S. Sales Highlights Sales of Audi SUV models were strong. The Audi Q3 and Q5 both achieved all-time record sales in the month of December, with the Q3 posting sales of 1,501 vehicles, up 66.6 percent over the 901 sold in December of 2014. The Q5 was purchased or leased by 6,057 new owners in December, up 33.1 percent over the 4,551 sold in December of 2014. Year-to-date sales for the Q5 reached 52,006 vehicles, up 22.6 percent over the 42,420 sold in all of 2014. The Audi A3 also sold well, with sales of 3,252 vehicles in December, up 20.9 percent over the 2,690 sold in December of 2014. December and a 61.7% increase for the year. 35,984 A3s were sold in 2015, up 61.7 percent over the 22,250 sold in all of 2014. The A3 was not available for much of 2014 however. Audi stated they have achieved the longest running monthly record sales streak in the luxury car market. The auto industry posted strong December sales of more than 1.64 million vehicles, up 9.3 percent over the 1.5 million sold in December of 2014. For the 6th consecutive year, sales were up over the prior year as the automotive industry sales reached a record 17.41 million vehicles sold surpassing the year 2000, when 17.4 million vehicles were delivered. The seasonally-adjusted annual selling rate (SAAR) for light vehicles was an estimated 17.8 million units in December. The profitable Light Truck segment accounted for 56 percent of the overall market.
