You might try the suction cup mount on the little triangle window in the corner, between windshield and door. That works on our Prius, haven't tried on our previous Civic, but it's similar, might work.

That is probably the best place I've found to mount it in the Prius. :)

Thanks , Mendel and ALS. That little triangle window is good for nothing else anyway. And it's pretty far from my Scangauge velcro , too.

    re: mounts

I've used the suction cups on the windshield and on permanently
attached discs on the dash... now I use (and prefer) the beanbag
    type friction mounts.

I don't know if beanbag mounts will stay in place when I make a high-G maneuver. Which happens sometimes , but usually only in neutral :)

It helps that the PIP's dash has a very rough texture to it, and
the Leaf's dash has a little valley where things put there tend to
stay put. I wish I could lend you a friction mount to try out...
Other things in the car go flying well before the GPS on the friction

The problem I had with suction cups is if left on for extended
periods, they tend to degrade from the sun, and then they lose
their pliability and fall off. Or if removed frequently, they're sometimes
reattached suboptimally, and again, they tend to fall off. Eventually,
(for me anyway) the suction cups fall off, usually at the worst times.

Good luck with whatever mounting method works for you.

p.s. winter's the toughest time for keeping suction
cups attached, especially if they've come off...

    Hi Bill:

And how. When one falls off the windscreen, they scar the hell out of me!

Another low price for this 52LM model... Just saw another
ad for $80.99 shipped. For those familiar, check Rakuten.

Bill (not advocating this model or seller...)

p.s. I like the models that have speech recognition.
Very quick destination programming when the speech
recognition works. :) My wife has that one; I have
the older one with the battery failing.
