    Hi Edwin:

I like what the photographer did with the softening up of the pic. Never seen this effect before?

I introduce to you the 1959 Cadillac. Fins and all :D

Only Basjoos would be brave enough to pilot that rig.

Mine as well! And probably my kids as well. 4 year old has had stitches twice and 2 year old got the glue. Boys will be boys!

Right! True story from this week.

My wife bought a new printer* and was surprised at how big the box was. The sales assistant (at Staples**) carried it to her Civic. They tried to get it in the trunk but the opening wasn't big enough. My wife exclaimed "Oh, don't tell me I'll have to get the Prius." and the sales assistant laughed at the idea. My wife actually defended the Prius (a first!) explaining that it's not a small car and is a hatchback so it could easily take that box. Fortunately she was able to get the box into the back seat.

    * Epson WP-4020. A bit chunky but it's a capable deskjet, cost $100+Tax, has relatively cheap ink refills, has an ethernet port as well as WiFi, (according to my Kill-a-Watt EZ) draws 0W when turned off, doesn't turn itself on when you plug it in or turn on the power strip, and there's a Linux driver available (I had to download it, but it worked like a charm) so we now have easy network printing.
** Ordered online with store pickup so no delivery charge.

... That story reminds me of the time I went with my mother in her then-brand-new Camry sedan to buy her a large assemble-it-yourself computer desk at Staples. It came knocked down in one large box that weighed well over 200 pounds. No way would that thing fit in the Camry. We went back to her house for my GLC hatchback. With a lot of grunting, the "sales assistant" and I wrestled it inside. It was too heavy for my brother and me to carry (with no cart or hand truck available) into her house, so we kinda rolled it end-over-end.

Next time, I'm not buying a sedan, no matter what MPG it gets.

I LOVE my hatchback. So far, it's carried home a 16' round Intex pool. Several large playsets for children. Large boxes, small boxes, a 50" TV (it'll fit up to 70) and kids most every day. Never, ever going back to a sedan ;).

    Hi All:

This one was provided by our own Laurie With as she saw it on http://fb-troublemakers.com.

Renault and Ford have joined forces to create the perfect small car for women.

Mixing the Renault ‘Clio’ and the Ford ‘Taurus’ they have designed the ’Clitaurus’.

It comes in pink, and the average male car thief won’t be able to find it – let alone turn it on – even if someone tells him where it is and how to do it.

Rumor has it though it can be a real bitch to start in the morning! Some have reported that on cold winter mornings, when you really need it, you can’t get it to turn over.

New models are initially fun to own, but very costly to maintain, and horribly expensive to get rid of. Used models may initially appear to have curb appeal and a low price, but eventually have an increased appetite for fuel, and the curb weight typically increases with age. Manufacturers are baffled as to how the size of the trunk increases, but say that the paint may just make it LOOK bigger.
