This is such a cute pic.
I went to see this at a local theater yesterday and what a great movie for dog lovers. This movie will make you cry, will make you laugh, and it will make you smile.
A Dog's Purpose
It was filmed in Winnipeg, streets near my friend's house were filled up with cars and decor from the 1950s for a few of the scenes. It was like going back in time.
And I liked it, too.
Something we all like, a dog on the beach at sunset.
Wayne-as always-puppies are CUTE CHEATING!
In response to Valentines Day.
Someone loves their pooch
Now that's cute! The dealer where I got my Prius welcomes pets in the waiting area. The day I bought my car some lady was in there with her Golden Retriever named Thor, who was fast asleep.
The video in this article has to be one of the funniest things I've seen. Love that cute little dog trying to look innocent.
Speaking of Dogs
Arty-our greyhound( Isis and Phoebe were one and two) developed septic arthritis about 2 weeks ago
went from a yelp and a limp to walking on 3 legs in one day-
red swollen from "ankle" up to "knee" entire lower leg-10 or more inches
small "draining" port-perhaps the original injury draining somewhat thin fluid not thick pus
had keflex at hand- 36 hours-no response
amoxil clavulonic acid-bingo- dramatic improvement 2 doses-24 hours
fully cleared-via eyeball- 5 days-will go 10 days
Augmentin is still usually effective-humans and dogs-for that sort of infection-
yes it usually causes intestinal "problems"
surprisingly human probiotics(SAMS SOMEWHAT GENERIC PRODUCT- claims 5 billion active units per dose-5 different bacteria)
Hi Charlie , I hope Arty recovers completely.
yep Arty was obviously on the med after just 2 doses-stacked very closely-of 873/125 Aug triple usual dose-
last friday ar 3:30pm and 10pm-wanted 2 full doses)
Now - 15 dose this am-no visible evidense of infection
waaay back when -1996 or so-Isis our first-arrived from the greyhound rescue center with an identical infection-and she responded very well also-couldn't remember which antibiotic the vet prescribed(probably a 2nd 3rd gen drug from the Keflex family is my memory)
not sure if greyhounds are particularly likely to get those infections
1)Long skinny exposed legs
2)very little hair-protection
3) very sensitive skin-
4)very fast running ( high speed could make a minor bump tear the skin)
probably makes it more likely
anyway our beagles-never developed that sort of infection
it would be considered extremely serious in humans-life limb threatening-certainly would be surgically drained-hospitalized etc-zillion $
vets are no longer treating with cost in mind-
Hi Charlie, I hope Arty is improving.
Arty is 100% cured now
She just got her last 20th(10 days) dose-
she "lost the limp" after just 4 doses
In fact she is pestering me for a walk right now-
Cats are better in that respect-they have no interest in recreational exercise
but they are very powerful "recreational" sleepers
Muffin insists on spending the day on my bed-watching TV etc-
she gets up about 10 pm and retires to her "apartment" (a dog crate she sleeps in so her "brothers" don't pester/bully her her at night-and so she will use the litter where she is supposed to)
Pretty good pun!
Is Arty still doing ok?
Arty thanks you for asking
she is fine-completely recovered
and I think I discovered the WHY-of why she ended up with the infection
A year or so ago-I switched her to car carpet mats-ebay-as sleep gear-instead of the Goodwill store used kid's sleeping bags that my late wife would use
Well the mats weren't big enough-and perhaps they were abrasive too
she developed a slight scab at the pressure point/bone on her "ankle"
that was where the infection "got in"
obviously she is back to sleeping bags
PS Goldie puppy- cute CHEATING
