Glow in the dark highways

    "The first few hundred metres of glow-in-the-dark, weather-indicating road will be installed in the province of Branbant in mid-2013, followed by priority induction lanes for electric vehicles"

    Is he talking about induction charging for cars on the go?.. I like his idea of street lights with automatic dimmers.

    It sure sounds like it, but I'm not sure how billing would work. Seems like it would simplify collection of electric car per mile road user fees.

    billing would be simple, each car would have a unique id tied to a credit card.. electricity is very cheap, distribution is the expensive part.
