This one came out of the blue as I was speaking with Harold Cecil just last month about their new stuff bags for the Coyote and Great Basin soft Luggage. Anyway, Harold released the following earlier this afternoon. Bend, OR -- Giant Loop, the makers of imho the world’s best adventure motorcycle soft luggage, is experiencing a change of ownership after four years since incorporating. The company recently secured its first injection of working capital since it started in 2008, and co-founder Harold Olaf Cecil has now taken full ownership. Company co-founder Dave Wachs recently sold his interest in Giant Loop and is pursuing other opportunities and interests. Cecil added that Brian Frankle, founder, former owner and award-winning designer of a successful outdoor recreation equipment company, recently joined Giant Loop as Design Director. Frankle is a well-traveled adventure motorcyclist, who has ridden the Trans-America Trail across the US from east coast to west coast, using motorcycle soft luggage of his own design and creation. Harold Olaf Cecil, owner of Giant Loop: According to Cecil. His team will introduce an updated and expanded 2013 Giant Loop product line at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy in November, followed by the Dealer Expo show in Indianapolis in February 2013. A short stop at the Giant Loop factory during the WR250X Adventure Ride: Cecil is on the left with co-founder Dave Wachs on the right. Dave, good luck with where life will take you… And hopefully while on the back of your KTM heading out on yet another of your many adventure rides!
